The 10th International Academic and Professional Congress on Happiness will take place on 24–25 September 2026 in Esposende, Portugal, at the Fórum Municipal Rodrigues Sampaio. Hosted by the Câmara Municipal de Esposende and promoted by the International University Network of Happiness, the congress will be held in in-person and virtual formats.
Under the theme “The Future of Happiness: Organizations, consumers, citizens, law, emotions, and social well-being in an interconnected world”, the conference invites academic and professional contributions on happiness, well-being and emotions from different disciplinary perspectives. Topics include happiness management, organizational well-being, consumer happiness, social marketing, artificial intelligence, sustainability, ethics, communication, tourism, education, smart cities and public policy.
Authors are invited to submit an expanded abstract of up to 400 words by 12 July 2026. Acceptance notifications are expected by 15 July 2026. The reduced-fee registration period will remain open until 9 September 2026, while regular registration will be available from 10 to 20 September 2026.
The congress offers several publication opportunities, including a book of abstracts with DOI, book chapters with Tirant lo Blanch for selected contributions, and the possibility for some papers to be considered for special issues or editorial processes in JCR/SJR journals related to the congress themes. The official languages of the congress are English, Portuguese and Spanish.
