The Transformative Consumer Research Conference 2027 has opened its call for track proposals. TCR is an international research movement associated with the Association for Consumer Research and focused on advancing research that contributes to consumer, societal and environmental well-being.
TCR 2027 will take place at the Gabelli School of Business, Fordham University, in New York City, from 1 to 4 June 2027. The conference co-chairs, Sertan Kabadayi, Yuliya Komarova and Hoori Rafieian, invite proposals for three track categories: Build Capacity, Leverage Theory-Guided Research and Implement Solutions. The call particularly welcomes proposals on emerging themes and encourages inclusive, collaborative and dialogical approaches to research.
Proposal submissions will open on 15 June 2026, and the deadline for submission is 31 July 2026. Selected tracks will be notified by 31 August 2026. Track 1 will include an open call for participant applications, while Tracks 2 and 3 require all team members to be identified and confirmed at the proposal stage.
The conference follows a dialogical format, bringing together researchers and, where appropriate, non-academic stakeholders such as practitioners, policymakers, NGOs and community representatives. Selected tracks may also have the opportunity to develop their work for consideration in a special issue of the Journal of the Association for Consumer Research.
